Year-Round Bible School & Conference Center

Ravencrest Chalet is a Bible school and conference center outside the town of Estes Park, Colorado. At an altitude of 8500 feet, it is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and close to the Rocky Mountain National Park. This Northern Colorado, Swiss-style Chalet was built as a private residence and lodging facility in 1963 but was established as a Torchbearers Center of the Capernwray Missionary Fellowship in 1974.

Ravencrest Chalet Bible School

From September through May, Ravencrest Chalet offers a college level study of the Bible. Upon the completion of one full school year, students will have surveyed the entire Bible as well as have had a concentrated study of many different books in the Bible and contemporary issues of Christian living. Through studies, students can develop a firm foundation for their Christian lives. The school features a schedule which includes twenty-three classes each week. These classes are conducted by the resident faculty and several guest teachers. Guest teachers are either members of the International Torchbearers staff, or other experienced Christian leaders in residence for one week. The level of study is intense including homework assignments, written papers, and regular exams. The program is designed to develop a disciplined study of the Bible. All students participate in a local church and some form of ministry outreach to the surrounding community. Students also work in specific duties to help maintain the domestic functions of the school. Small groups are developed to enable the students to minister closely to one another. Accreditation: although Ravencrest is a non-accredited institution, many Christian colleges and universities accept the studies completed at Ravencrest Chalet as transferable credits. This makes our program beneficial to those students who plan to continue with their college education. Also, for those interested in missions work, our school satisfies the requirement of attending at least one year at a recognised or accredited Bible School.

Conference Center

Throughout the Summer and during the Christmas holidays, conferences are offered for adults and youth. Programs are designed to cater to the specific needs of individuals and groups vacationing here. These are times to learn more of who Jesus Christ is, and how He affects our lives. Ravencrest allows guests to leave work and activities behind and be refreshed by teaching, fellowship and worship of God. Many people enjoy using their vacation time as an opportunity for spiritual growth.

Men's Retreat This weekend is filled with teaching, fellowship and a variety of outdoor activities. Family Week Bible studies for parents and children combined with guided outdoor activities provide an ideal vacation environment for the family. Women's Week One of our most popular weeks encompasses excellent Bible teaching and warm fellowship. Study Week This is a time for a more extensive study of God's Word through lectures, personal discussions, and shared outdoor experiences. Singles Week Single adults are invited to come for genuine fellowship including Bible teaching, worship, relaxation and fun. Youth Weeks A combination of excellent music, enjoyable teaching, and mountain fun provide an enriching experience for youth groups. Christmas During the Christmas holidays, the Chalet is open to those who want to enjoy a winter in the Rockies. Beautiful snow-capped scenery becomes the backdrop for spiritual encouragement and outdoor adventure.
