“From Rags to Riches” was our theme this Easter and many of us felt like Cinderella being told “you shall go to the ball”. We had two fantastic weekends as we visited the wardrobe of Ephesians each day with Bonnie Thomas, our speaker. We were always surprised to see what outfit our ‘model’ would be wearing at the beginning of each session. Bonnie had us laughing as she confessed her sin of running the battery dry because she forgot to turn it off (you had to be there), or crying as she allowed us to see her own transformation from rags to riches in her marriage and in other relationships. Her teaching was full of Scripture with light shining through her stories, her honesty and her smile! I don’t think any of us will forget the banquet and the ball gowns or the hat game (thank you Margaret for making us all smile). There was also the afternoon of pampering with manicures, log fires, afternoon teas and of course, the learning of a new craft.
