Money matters

At this point what now stands as a wonderful building filling our famous hole has been paid for and we have funds in hand that are keeping the work under way. That amount is far from sufficient to bring us to completion and hence use. The information below shows our current financial situation, the project costs so far, and the revised estimate that is required to make the building useable.

A big decision

We have decided to borrow up to £600,000 and service the loan over a period of 10 years if necessary. It is a decision made with careful consideration, consultation and trust in the Lord. This approach will mean that the funds will be available immediately and we will draw upon them as required since we believe it is important to press on to completion with this God given building.

Make it monthly

We cannot thank you enough for your support for the project and ask that you continue on with us in a faith stretching venture so that it can be finished as soon as possible. Many of you gave through the "6,000 club" and some have done so by way of a monthly commitment over the past years. Aware of the many financial obligations of life and requests for giving in this needy world, a small amount over a period of time may well be the best way to participate. Would you keep up the challenge with us by investing £5 or £10 per month? Such a commitment by everyone on our mailing list would see the job done and minimise the time it will take to cover the loan.

Prayer

The Board and staff of Capernwray are very much aware that the prayers of God's people in many places around the world have undergirded and supported the work over the years, and believe that this is essential still. Would you also keep up the challenge by praying specifically that we will organise and administrate the project effectively, taking into consideration all the factors that will make the building as useful as possible and that we will soon meet the funding target.

Prayer days have been a regular part of our Bible School programme. It is a means for the students to consolidate the truths they have been hearing under the instruction of Christ over the weeks. It is also an opportunity for us as a staff to concentrate our praying on the work here and particularly at this time for the dining room project. Perhaps you would join with us on June 7th, or a day convenient to you, in a specific time of prayer wherever you are. Fasting will be an option we will encourage on this day and you are also welcome to participate. We do seek the Lord to enable us to complete the building in a way that best glorifies Him.

And finally

We repeat what was said at the end of last year's letter. "Capernwray remains committed to introducing Christ to those who come here for the variety of programmes, a means of grasping the reality of who He is, through the study of God's Word and a springboard for outreach to places near and far."

Gratefully in his love

Mark Thomas
