International Youth Weeks - Thinking of bringing a group?
Each year we have a number of groups join us for Youth Weeks, from the UK and overseas. It's a great way to meet those from other cultures - in the past few years we have had guests from Germany, Norway, France, Spain, Denmark, Czech Republic and the USA. We want to help in whatever way we can; initially the best thing is to contact us so we can hold places if necessary and give you further information to assist in making your plans.

What about trips?
We organise a trip each week and the cost is included in the price of the holiday. In recent years we have taken guests to Keswick in the Lake District, Chester, a historic city with its origins in Roman times and Liverpool, home of The Beatles! A great day out!

Is there a minimum age for kayaking and archery?
The main issue is size, but as a guideline we can accommodate as young as 8/9 year olds.

What are the accommodation arrangements?
Most of our rooms are dormitory style and the number of beds on average is 4-7 although some rooms are even larger. We have a limited number of small rooms available. Unfortunately we do not have the facilities to offer single rooms.

If you request a small room (2 or 3 bedded rooms) or an en-suite room (2 bedded rooms) you will be charged a supplement of £10/£15 per person per weekend, or £15/£25 per person per week.  We only have a limited number of small rooms available so these cannot be guaranteed.

In family weeks we would usually allocate 1 family per room no matter if there are not enough members to fill all the beds. Sometimes we would have separate dormitory rooms for the teenagers in the family (13+) but this is not always an option.

Can I make a booking over the phone?
Our policy is for bookings to be made in writing so although we would sometimes pencil you in and take a telephone number we do require a completed booking form along with a non-refundable deposit of £25 per person per week.

Do we need to bring our own bedding or towels?
No. All bedding and towels for use in the main buildings are provided. Please bring your own towels for use in our swimming pool.

Are all meals included?
Yes - breakfast, lunch and dinner are all included  (evening dinner only on arrival day and breakfast only on departure day). We can also provide packed lunches during the holiday at no additional charge.
