Some of our Staff

Mark Thomas is the son of the founder of Capernwray, Major W.I. Thomas and is the Managing Director of Capernwray Hall. His pastoral care and love of the Bible come through in his desire for all to grasp, apply and enjoy 'God's Book' and Christ's life. Married to Linda, their two children and grandchildren live in North and South America.

Rob Whittaker is Principal at Capernwray Bible School. Rob's teaching is very well received by our students as well as holiday guests and his preaching extends throughout the UK and beyond. His encouraging and motitvating teaching goes hand in hand with clear challenges from God's word.

Dougie Roy is our Holiday programme director. He lives at Capernwray with his wife Lisa and two children. He is a keen musician, and apart from planning and running the holiday programme, having worked in a church doing youth work, loves to share his faith with our holiday guests. He appreciates your need for a refreshing break away!

Sue Gilmore is our Bible School Registrar and one of our resident Bible School and Holiday Conference teachers. Her ministry now extends to other countries including our centre in Spain, and as far away as New Zealand, Australia and the USA. If you are booked to come to Bible School here at Capernwray Hall, then the chances are you will already have corresponded with Sue!
