We've recently had plans approved to build a new Conference Hall! The current building was erected in 1968, and despite repairs over the years, it is now in need of serious attention.
Having considered the options, the best alternative appears to be to demolish the existing building and replace it with a new Conference Hall. Our desire was to commence the project in September 2009 and have the new building ready for use for the summer conference season in June 2010. In order to commence in September 2009 we needed to have a good proportion of the funding in place which sadly was not the case. The decision therefore has been taken to delay the project by a year to enable further funds to be raised. The desire now is to commence in 2010.
